In the green forest, a young fox named Rusty plans a lantern festival for all his woodland friends. With his bright russet fur and leafy scarf, he is easy to spot, and his excitement is contagious. Rabbit, with a red ribbon bow and small drum, offers to hang lanterns and lead the singing and dancing, while Bear, gentle in his yellow apron, promises to carry the heavy lanterns and set them safely along the paths.
That evening, Rusty builds lanterns from dry sticks and paper, intending to use real candles as he saw in a storybook. Before lighting them, Owl, the wisest bird, warns that a single spark could set the woods on fire. Instead of giving up, Rusty follows Owl to a clearing near the old oak tree, where smooth stones glow softly, cool to the touch and never burning. Together they gather the stones in Rusty's woven basket and place one inside each lantern, so the festival can shine safely for everyone. This warm forest tale, written by Çınar BİBER, can be read on Masalcı Baba.
