The Elephant's Story Tent

On a wide, golden savanna where acacia trees spread like umbrellas, a gentle elephant named Eldra prepares a story tent so the animals around her can gather and exchange their tales. She stretches cloth over poles with her trunk, arranges soft cushions, adds a little lantern, hangs a brass bell and ties her mustard yellow scarf around her neck. A sign outside reads 'Stories Welcome Inside,' and Eldra waits by the opening to greet everyone who comes.

The first visitors carry very different lives with them. Zebra speaks of racing the wind across the open plains, Giraffe describes seeing the savanna from high above and wonders how small creatures view the world, and Meerkat tells of digging burrows, whistling warnings and noting down all she observes. More animals follow, each with a story shaped by its own way of living, and Eldra listens carefully to every one. This tale by Çınar BİBER can be read on Masalcı Baba.
