On a wide, slow river where water hums over smooth stones, a young otter named Pip lives in a cozy burrow beneath the willow roots. Wearing a faded red bandana and carrying a little wooden mallet, he dreams of building something wonderful right on the water. His dream starts to take shape when he meets Fern, a small green frog in a blue vest who arrives with a rolled-up blueprint for a floating stage. Pip is bursting with energy, while Fern is full of careful thought, and their first challenge is learning to work as a team. This tale by Çınar BİBER can be read on Masalcı Baba.
The two friends disagree about how the stage should be built. Pip insists on a round raft, but it tips and wobbles, and the rope slips loose. Fern suggests a rectangle instead, and together they hammer pegs, tie tight knots, and add a low rail and a mossy curtain. When word spreads along the river, a mallard duck named Mabel proposes a riverwide talent show, and animals from every bend arrive with acts of their own. The planning grows complicated, and Pip must confront his impatience when the performers argue over the order.
