On a bright Monday morning, Mr. Finch greets Room 4 with a mysterious smile and a peculiar brass device that resembles a teapot merged with a windmill. He announces that the class will be studying weather, and when he twists a polished dial, the contraption starts to hum and shake. With a gentle whoosh, the whole classroom rises from the ground and climbs into the sky. Maya, who keeps a silver compass, Leo, whose tool belt jingles with every step, and little Pip the hamster find themselves in a genuine classroom among the clouds.

From the windows, the children see their playground dwindle to a small green patch. Maya starts sketching a map while Leo scrambles under the machine to examine its gears. When a loose valve halts the humming, the classroom drifts with the wind, and the class must rely on science to steer. Mr. Finch guides them over broccoli-like forests, snowy peaks and patchwork fields as Leo experiments to nudge them south before the machine overheats.
