In a cozy village at the edge of a whispering wood, seven-year-old Leo sets out with his green canvas backpack, hoping to find something magical. Behind a bush he hears a tiny sneeze and meets Ember, a little dragon no bigger than a cat, with mint-green scales and a small red knitted scarf. Sparks keep fizzing from Ember's nostrils, and he admits he is afraid of his own fire.
Rather than laughing, Leo offers to help. With a notebook, patience and plenty of encouragement, the two become a team, practicing slow, deep breathing and counting to four as Ember breathes in and out. Written by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK, this gentle tale follows the pair as they prepare for a friend's birthday party, where Ember hopes to light the candles without setting the cake on fire.
