Leo has long dreamed of having a pet, so one bright morning he and his mom visit the animal shelter. There he discovers a small cream-white rabbit with grey-tipped ears, bright amber eyes, and a little blue collar with a silver bell. Before taking the rabbit home, Leo decides to plan everything carefully. He writes a list and sketches the perfect play area, including a fence, a tunnel, and a snug wooden house.
With his dad's help, Leo builds a safe and inviting space for his new friend. They hammer low wooden walls, sand every edge smooth, and check for gaps. Leo adds hiding spots like a hollow log and a wooden box with a round door, and he makes sure the area is away from loud noises and busy paths. He fills a water bowl and hangs a sign that says 'Rabbit at Play.' When the rabbit finally arrives, Leo gently introduces it to its new home. This heartwarming story by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL teaches young readers about responsibility and patience, and can be read on Masal İzle.
