Eight-year-old Leo visits the Blue Cove Marine Center with his sketchbook and pencil, hoping to meet the dolphins he has only read about. There, guide Maya, who studies dolphins at the center, introduces him to Pip, a young grey dolphin with a lighter belly and glossy dark eyes. When Pip pops his snout from the water and whistles a greeting, the two quickly become friends, and Leo begins spending his days at the floating dock, watching, listening and drawing.

Over repeated visits, Leo learns that dolphins use clicks to find food and whistles to talk with friends, and he fills his sketchbook with the sounds he hears and pictures of Pip with speech bubbles. This gentle tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL follows his growing understanding of the animals and his first steps toward caring for their world. Young readers can follow Leo's notes and drawings on Masal İzle, where curiosity and careful observation shape his days at the cove.
