Arthur the aardvark lives in a cozy burrow at the edge of the sunny savanna, digging for ants and watching the sunset. One day he finds a wooden box of paints and a flat board, squeezes a tube, and a bright blue blob appears. Dragging his claw through it, he creates a wiggly line and feels his heart race. From then on he paints daily, capturing the savanna's colors and his own reflection, until his burrow fills with colorful boards and he turns an old empty burrow into a small art studio.

His best friend Milo the meerkat visits, marvels at the paintings, and encourages Arthur to share them by organizing an exhibition. Together they make signs and invite giraffes, zebras, elephants, and even a grumpy old warthog. Arthur is nervous, but Milo's support helps him overcome his doubts.
