In a bright blue cove, Pippin the penguin inventor puts the finishing touches on his boldest project: a boat coated with special clear paint that makes the hull disappear. With round goggles, a red scarf and a tool belt holding a tiny wrench, he is thrilled to watch the boat vanish and pictures himself gliding along as a silent secret explorer. The other animals, however, see only Pippin floating oddly in mid-air.
Problems soon follow, as the unseen boat bumps into friends: Ollie the otter hurts his nose on something hard, and Tilly the turtle spins in circles after her shell strikes a hidden edge. Pippin starts to doubt his idea but cannot bear to give it up, until Sally the seal, who carries a satchel of colorful marker pens, makes a gentle suggestion.
