The Hyena's Hiccup

On a sunny savanna where acacia trees sway, a shy hyena named Hattie wears a bright orange scarf and a small blue storyteller badge. Storytelling means more to her than anything, and her best friend Milo, a clever meerkat, always listens with a quick smile. When a big storytelling competition arrives, Hattie has spent the week practicing her tale about a brave little bird, whispering it to the clouds and reciting it to the stones.

On the morning of the contest, something strange happens: she cannot stop hiccuping. At the gathering, animals come from all around, and a tall owl judge with spectacles and a purple sash watches from a high branch. As Hattie begins, her hiccups grow louder and the audience giggles, her ears drooping with embarrassment. Then Milo jumps up beside her with an idea that turns each hiccup into a funny sound.
