Leo is a curious boy who loves exploring, and one sunny morning he stands at the edge of a great green rainforest with his blue backpack and a roll of poster paper. There he meets Maya, a guide in a wide-brimmed straw hat, who leads him along the forest path in search of a very special monkey: the golden lion tamarin. As they walk, the rainforest comes alive with sound and colour, and soon a small monkey with vivid golden-orange fur and a lion-like mane swings down on a branch to greet them. Leo is captivated and watches how the tamarin leaps from tree to tree.
Maya explains that tamarins need tall, connected trees to travel and find food, and when Leo sees gaps where trees have been cut away, he understands the danger. Rather than leave it there, Leo unrolls his poster paper and draws the tamarin swinging between green trees, adding a big red heart and a call to connect the forest. His artwork inspires visitors, and Maya organises a community tree planting day. This tale by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK gently teaches children how habitat connections and forest restoration support wildlife, and it can be read on Onlinemasal Com.Tr.
