Marina, a young mermaid with warm light-brown skin and a shimmering teal tail, spends her days with her best friend Pebble, a cheerful silver-blue dolphin who wears a strand of seaweed like a scarf. Together they race through clear water, explore colorful coral reefs, and search for excitement among swaying sea plants and schools of tiny fish.
One sunny morning, they follow a path of old, moss-covered stones and discover underwater ruins with broken columns and tumbled stones. Beyond the ruins, they find a forgotten garden behind cracked coral gates. A tiny fish hiding behind a rock explains that no one plays there anymore because the gates are broken. Marina feels a tug at her heart and decides that she and Pebble can repair the gates together. The tale, written by Jane MEADOW, shows how teamwork and patience can bring a neglected place back to life. This gentle underwater adventure can be read on Kids Tale Book.
