The Little Quokka's Promise

In the sunny bushland, a cheerful little quokka carries her green grass satchel and red flower along the winding path each morning, greeting everyone she passes. One day she meets a shy new wallaby with soft grey-brown fur and a light blue scarf waiting near the tall ferns, and she warmly introduces herself with a promise to always be kind. This gentle beginning opens a friendship meant to help Wallaby feel at home.

When Quokka plans a picnic for all the bushland animals, Wallaby fears the others may not like him. Quokka reassures him, and together they deliver leaf invitations to the old wombat, the magpies and the possum. On the day itself, Quokka stays close as honey cakes, berries and songs are shared.
