In a tall green forest, a small nuthatch named Nutty lives in a cozy nest. Each morning she climbs down the tree trunks headfirst, her soft blue-grey back and peach-orange belly bright against the bark, a tiny green leaf satchel at her side as she looks for seeds and bugs. The forest is full of songs, and Nutty wishes she could sing along.
One sunny day she follows a tap-tap-tap and meets Woody, a busy woodpecker with barred feathers, a red crown and a small red scarf. The two become friends and show each other their skills, Woody bracing his stiff tail against the bark while Nutty demonstrates her headfirst descent. When they find a huge old tree with a dark hollow, they ask their forest friends for a lantern and string, and Owl the Forest Keeper encourages them to use their own abilities together. This gentle tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL can be read on Masal İzle.
