High on a windy mountain, a little griffin named Pip spends his days exploring steep and tricky paths, wishing he had someone to show him the way. One sunny morning a mountain goat called Greta arrives with a tiny brass bell jingling on her red saddlebag and offers to walk with him, and from then on the two set out together whenever the sun is bright.

Greta points out which trails are wide and safe and which turn slippery in wind or rain, and Pip learns quickly and carefully. He has his own gift too: his amber eyes see far and he reads the sky better than anyone, so when heavy clouds gather he warns that a storm is coming. Jane MEADOW shows how a creature who flies and one who climbs become a team, and the tale can be read on Kids Tale Book.
