The Little Fox's Garden

A little fox with bright orange fur and a cream chest slips through the bushes on a sunny morning and finds an old garden hidden among the trees. Weeds tangle the ground, the wooden gate leans to one side, and dry brown stems lie everywhere. He carries a small green satchel with a wooden trowel inside and feels certain that sleeping seeds wait somewhere beneath the weeds. Yet the garden is large and he is small, and he soon understands he cannot bring it back alone.

A shy hedgehog with a red neckerchief appears from under a bush, a woven basket of seeds in hand. The fox digs with his trowel while the hedgehog drops seeds into each little hole, and day by day the two friends pull weeds, carry water in a curled leaf and watch a tiny green shoot appear. A rabbit in a yellow sun hat joins with a watering can, and others come to watch. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale can be read on Masal İzle.
