The Little Fire Salamander

In the heart of a damp forest, a little fire salamander with glossy black skin and bright yellow-orange spots lives happily under a fallen log. But when a heavy rainstorm makes him nervous and uncertain, a friendly blue beetle with a red-orange shell and an acorn-cap satchel scurries past, and the two become companions, setting out together to find a cozy new home.

Along the way, they face a slippery puddle, a fast and deep stream that must be crossed on stepping stones, and a hollow log already occupied by a family of ants. Through it all, the beetle encourages the salamander, shares what he has, and shows him that patience and persistence can carry them through a difficult day. This gentle tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL explores fear of change, teamwork, kindness, and generosity, and can be read on Masal İzle.
