The Girl and the Rescue Rabbit

Maya, a young girl with a freckled nose, adores rainy days and often walks home from school in the hope of glimpsing a special rabbit near the old oak tree. One day her wish comes true: she finds a cream and grey rabbit with one floppy ear, a red harness and a tiny bell. Noticing that his hind legs are weak and that he moves slowly, she names him Pepper and starts visiting him every day with carrots, lettuce and a soft blue blanket.

When Maya tries to play with Pepper, she sees that he cannot keep up, so she turns to her father and to Dr. Ortiz, a veterinarian, for guidance. In this tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, the family builds a gentle ramp and soft resting spots so the rabbit can live comfortably. The story follows Maya's patient care and can be read on Masal İzle.
