On a rainy Saturday, Maya puts on her yellow raincoat and red boots and visits the bird sanctuary near her home. There, the manager Rosa introduces her to Pip, a small grey pigeon with a drooping wing who cannot fly. Despite his injury, Pip's bright amber eyes and curious nature quickly win Maya over. Watching him struggle to reach the higher perches, she understands that Pip needs more than sympathy—he needs a space designed for his abilities.

With Rosa's encouragement and help from Ben, a boy with a tool belt and a missing front tooth, Maya sketches a plan in her notebook: a gentle ramp, low perches, and a quiet corner with soft hay and water. Together they measure, hammer, and adjust, while Pip tests each new addition. When one perch remains too high, Maya suggests another step, and the team builds again. This gentle story by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL shows how observation, teamwork, and small acts of care can create a true sanctuary. The tale can be read on Masal İzle.
