Maya spends every morning in her garden, wearing her yellow boots and green dungarees, with a notebook and pencil ready to explore. One sunny day, she spots a fresh pile of soft soil near the carrots and watches a tiny pink nose appear. It belongs to a little mole with velvety dark grey fur and big shovel-like paws. Instead of running away, Maya stays still, whispers a greeting, and begins to draw and write down everything she observes, just like a real scientist.

All week, Maya follows the mole's work, mapping its tunnels under the flowers and vegetables. Curious about why the mole digs, she shows a crumbly molehill to her teacher, Miss Rosa, who explains that digging mixes the soil and lets air in, helping plants grow strong. Maya checks the carrot patch and flowers near the fresh mounds and finds them bigger, greener, and brighter. She writes in her notebook: "Mole tunnels = happy plants!" Encouraged by Miss Rosa, Maya decides to share her discovery with her class. The tale, written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, can be read on Masal İzle.
