Gina the giraffe has always lived comfortably in the wide grasslands, never traveling beyond the open plains she knows so well. One sunny morning she meets Flora, a pink flamingo resting near the watering hole after a long flight to see new places. Gina welcomes the tired traveler and offers to show her around, and a friendship begins. As they race through the grass, each discovers what the other can do: Gina sees for miles from high above, while Flora notices the small details of the world around her.

When Flora describes her home in the wetlands, Gina feels curious but also afraid, since she has never left her grasslands. Flora understands this hesitation and gently encourages her new friend to try. Gina agrees to follow, and together they set off toward a place she has never seen. Written by Jane MEADOW, this warm and gentle tale follows the two friends as they explore each other's homes and learn that different places are special in their own ways. The story can be read on Kids Tale Book.
