The Wombat's Secret Tunnel

Wombat keeps a cozy burrow at the edge of a sunny garden, and each morning he fills his mustard-yellow explorer satchel with snacks and a rolled map. One day, digging near an old oak tree, his claws hit something hard: a stone door hidden beneath the roots. Behind it waits a dark tunnel that smells of damp earth and something sweet, and Wombat senses it is worth exploring. Since the darkness makes him cautious, he asks his clever friend Echidna, who wears round blue spectacles, carries a green pencil case, and loves making maps, to come along.

With a small lantern and a sharpened pencil, the two friends enter the tunnel and map each chamber they find, from twisty paths marked with glowing symbols to a narrow passage and an underground stream. This gentle tale by Çınar BİBER follows their careful notes and teamwork as they refill their bottles and tend the wilted flowers they meet. Young readers can follow the adventure on Masalcı Baba, where curiosity and preparation turn a frightening darkness into a path worth following.
