In a snug woodland clearing by a sparkling stream, Tilly the turtle keeps a smooth domed shell, a soft red scarf and a small woven satchel for her supplies. Of all the year's events, she treasures the lantern festival, when the forest animals gather to share light and joy. With three days left, she gathers paper, string and tiny candles, humming as her friends ready their own lanterns for the trees.

Once the lanterns are hung, Pip the mouse and Bramble the rabbit find theirs dangling out of reach, and the smaller animals start to feel left out of the celebration. Tilly notices their worried faces and, using paper and string from her satchel, begins working on an idea of her own. Pip carries string in his quick paws while Bramble brings more paper as the afternoon passes. This children's tale by Çınar BİBER explores thoughtfulness and inclusion, and it can be read on Masalcı Baba.
