Sadie the squirrel lives in a tree-hollow at the edge of a green garden, wearing her sky-blue apron and tiny round spectacles. One bright morning, she catches sunlight in a clean glass jar, screws the lid on tight, and finds that the jar glows like a tiny lantern. Excited, she fills jar after jar and opens a little shop with a wooden sign reading SUNSHINE FOR SALE. Lily the rabbit, Toby the hedgehog, and animals from all over the garden line up to buy her golden jars, and for a while Sadie feels proud and happy that everyone loves her sunshine.
But then the glow begins to fade. Lily's jar dims, Toby's jar grows dull, and one by one the animals return with jars that no longer shine. Sadie tries everything to bring the light back, and her shop grows quiet while her heart feels heavy. Wise old Owl, in his deep-purple scarf and brass-rimmed reading glasses, glides down from the old oak tree to explain that sunshine is not meant to be kept in jars: locked up it slips away, but shared openly it never runs out. This gentle story by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK teaches young readers about generosity and friendship. Read it on Onlinemasal Com.Tr.
