The Squirrel's Lost Compass

On a bright morning, a russet-orange squirrel packs his little brown satchel, checks the shiny compass inside, and sets out with his friend Robin, a red-breasted bird in a small blue scarf, to explore a new forest beyond the hill. Following the needle north, the two companions enter a tall, green woodland filled with unfamiliar trees and birds.

When Squirrel trips on a root, the compass cracks against a stone and its needle stops pointing anywhere at all. Every tree looks alike and every path curves away, so the friends no longer know the way home. Instead of panicking, Robin suggests asking a forest resident: an elderly owl in round glasses and a soft green vest, who explains that the forest has its own directions and teaches them three landmarks. This gentle tale by Çınar BİBER, which can be read on Masalcı Baba, follows one calm adventure about friendship, careful thinking and trusting the knowledge of others.
