Pip is a lively squirrel with russet fur and bright amber eyes, living in a cozy nest high in an oak tree. One sunny day, she finds a small golden key on a cord near a mossy log. Curious about what it might open, she sets out to solve the mystery. Along the way, she meets a beetle and an ant, but neither can help. Remembering her wise friend Olive, an old owl with round spectacles, Pip seeks her guidance. Olive suggests that the key might belong to a secret treehouse hidden in the tallest tree in the forest, a place with a lock that hasn't been opened in years.
Together, Pip and Olive search for clues, finding a scrap of rope and a faded arrow carved into a trunk. Following the arrow, they reach a giant oak tree with a tiny wooden house perched high above. With no ladder in sight, Pip and Olive must rely on teamwork: Pip climbs while Olive flies beside her, offering encouragement and guidance. The climb is challenging, but their cooperation sees them through. At the top, Pip uses the golden key to open the rusty lock, revealing a charming treehouse filled with surprises. This heartwarming tale by Çınar BİBER teaches children about curiosity, perseverance, and the value of friendship. The story can be read on Masalcı Baba.
