Lumi, a young seal pup, lives beneath a bright, crackly ceiling of ice and a soft, salty sea. She spends her days chasing silver fish and blowing wobbling bubbles, until one morning a low, sweet melody drifts down through the water and tickles her whiskers. Curious about where such a song could come from, she sets out to find the singer, even though her mother has warned her about swimming too far alone.
Lumi turns to her friend Nix, a narwhal with a long spiral tusk who knows the deep water well, and the two swim side by side following the elusive melody. The song comes and goes like a whisper in the waves, leading them past towers of ice and into darker, colder channels. As the water deepens and the light fades, Lumi must balance her excitement with the caution her mother taught her. This gentle tale by Çınar BİBER follows the two friends as they track the secret song to a glowing ice cave, and it can be read on Masalcı Baba.
