Rusty the raccoon loves music above all else. Wearing his little red neck scarf and carrying a small wooden conductor baton, he decides one bright morning to start a forest orchestra. Soon he finds a rabbit in a blue vest who plays the flute and a big bear with a yellow bandana who keeps the beat on a bass drum. They practice beside a bubbling stream, but their sound still feels incomplete.
Then a small, round porcupine peeks out from behind a bush, tapping his nose to the beat. He longs to join but holds back, afraid his sharp quills might poke someone or spoil the music. Rabbit and Bear welcome him kindly, and Rusty invites him in, yet the porcupine cannot imagine what he could contribute without an instrument. This gentle tale by Çınar BİBER follows his journey from doubt to confidence, showing how what makes him different is exactly what his friends need. The story can be read on Masalcı Baba.
