The Rabbit's Secret Party

In the green woods, a small rabbit named Rosie, with soft cream fur and a sky-blue pinafore, loves to hop, play and bring happiness to those around her. One morning near the bramble bushes she meets Pip, a shy hedgehog with a light brown spiny back, timid eyes and a little green knitted scarf. Wanting to help him feel at home, Rosie plans a secret party with balloons, games and laughter, and she invites her friends Bramble the bear cub and Willow the owl to help gather berries and nuts.

When Rosie goes to invite Pip, he whispers that crowds and noise make him want to hide, so she rethinks her celebration and shapes it around what he told her. This gentle tale by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK follows a small gathering and shows young readers how paying attention to another person's feelings can make a shy friend feel safe.
