In a frosty ice village where every igloo is snowy white, a little penguin named Pip enjoys painting above all else. One morning, looking at his plain home, he decides it needs colour, so he takes his brush and a bucket of bright purple paint. When he is done, his igloo glows like a giant purple berry in the snow, and Pip feels proud and happy. Not everyone approves: some penguins laugh and point, and practical Greta insists igloos should stay white. Pip keeps smiling, remembering how much fun he had painting, and holds on to the thought that different can be wonderful.

His choice gradually changes the village. Young Toby, who carries a tiny sketchbook, is inspired to decorate his own igloo with bright stripes, and curiosity spreads as more penguins waddle past the colourful home. When Mabel, the elder penguin in her teal shawl and round spectacles, visits, she praises Pip for bringing colour to their white world and suggests an art festival where everyone can decorate their home in their own way. This gentle story by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK follows Pip, Toby, Mabel and Greta through themes of creativity, courage and belonging, and can be read on Onlinemasal Com.Tr.
