Percy the parrot lives high in a kapok tree in the green forest, his emerald feathers bright and his chest red like a ripe berry. Each morning he packs crayons and paper into his canvas satchel and flies among the trees, gathering leaves, flowers and seeds to draw with care. Once the satchel is full, he sets out to turn his pictures into a picture dictionary of the forest. On his way he meets Mika the monkey, who carries a woven leaf basket and knows the plants and animals of her own part of the forest, and the two begin adding page after page together.

As word of the book spreads, forest animals come to study the drawings and ask what things are. When a family from the other side of the river arrives speaking a language nobody understands, Percy turns to the dictionary, and simple drawings of water and a bridge let everyone communicate. Written by Çınar BİBER, this gentle tale can be read on Masalcı Baba and follows Percy and Mika as they learn that pictures can carry meaning across any language.
