The Mole's Silver Key

Under the great oak tree lives a little mole with soft charcoal-grey fur, round brass goggles, and a brown satchel. Each morning he digs and sniffs the soil, wondering what might be hidden beneath the earth. One sunny day his paw strikes something hard, and he uncovers a shiny silver key. With a robin friend beside him, he follows his curiosity and digs deeper than he ever has, until he finds an old wooden door.

The key fits perfectly. Beyond the door stretches a vast underground greenhouse full of glowing flowers and towering ferns, and a snail in a leaf hat explains that the place was abandoned long ago while the plants kept growing, waiting for someone to care for them. The mole knows he has found something special. This heartwarming tale by Çınar BİBER celebrates curiosity, discovery, and the joy of sharing wonders with loved ones, and it can be read on Masalcı Baba.
