In the heart of the rainforest, a little tapir with soft brown fur and a cream-colored patch on his face wanders the trails each day, staying careful of the big world around him. One day he meets a toucan with a bright orange and yellow beak, new to the forest and full of curiosity. The two quickly become friends, and each brings a different way of seeing things: the tapir watches the ground, while the toucan watches the sky. Together they set off to explore, pointing out berries on the bushes and ripe fruit high in the trees.

Their walk leads them to a rushing river with slippery stepping stones and a muddy path. The tapir is cautious, noticing the slick moss and soft mud, while the toucan flies above and spots a fallen log and a shallow stretch of water. By sharing what each of them can see, they work out a safe way across. This gentle tale by Çınar BİBER shows young readers how friendship, cooperation and listening to different points of view help us meet challenges together. The story can be read on Masalcı Baba.
