The Hedgehog's Secret Song

In a quiet corner of the woods, where ferns curl like green ribbons, a shy little hedgehog with honey-brown fur and an oversized red knitted scarf spends his mornings wandering among the trees, curious and quiet. One day a sleepy melody drifts toward him from a patch of closed flower buds, and he longs with all his heart to sing it himself.

Some notes, however, will not come easily, and a cheerful wren with a small blue flower behind one wing offers to help him learn the flower song that wakes the buds in spring. Note by note, through patient daily practice, the two work toward the most important note of all.
