Maya lives on a farm with a big red barn and a field of yellow sunflowers, and music fills her days. With a silver whistle around her neck, she sings to the chickens and hums to the cows, and the farm is her favorite place in the world. One sunny day, a strange, wobbly 'hee-haw' drifts from the barn, and she finds Pedro, the grey donkey, humming silly little tunes to himself. When Pedro grows embarrassed, Maya tells him his singing is special and dreams up a farm concert where every animal can share its own sound.
Henrietta the hen spreads the news, and the cows, sheep, ducks and Barnaby the goat all practice their moos, baas and bleats. Pedro, however, stays hidden behind a hay bale, convinced his voice is too silly and that everyone will laugh at him. Through Maya's patience and encouragement, and a quiet talk under the stars, Pedro begins to wonder whether being different might actually be a gift. This warm tale by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK follows a gentle farmyard community preparing for a night of music, and it can be read on Onlinemasal Com.Tr.
