Maya lives in a small blue house by the sea and spends her mornings watching a harbour seal named Pip from the shore. With her notebook and pencil, she carefully records everything she notices about him, from the fish he catches to the way he rests on the same flat rock at low tide. Her curiosity is patient and attentive, and she hopes Pip will feel safe while she observes him.

When a retired lighthouse keeper named Mr. Hale explains that harbour seals are shy and need room to rest, Maya starts to see that kind watching takes more than interest. After a family wanders too close to Pip's rock, she comes up with the idea of a simple coastal viewing guide, and with Mr. Hale's help she puts it together and shares it with visitors. This gentle tale by Çınar BİBER, which can be read on Masalcı Baba, follows her idea as it spreads through the town.
