The Girl and the Rabbit

Mira is a young girl with freckles and a gap-toothed smile who lives in a small house with a big garden. She adores animals and hopes for a pet of her own. On a sunny morning, she and her mother visit an animal shelter, where Mira meets two rabbits: Pip, a bold cream-white rabbit with a brown patch over one eye and a red collar with a tiny bell, and Clover, a shy grey rabbit with a white chest, one floppy ear, and a lavender collar. The shelter worker explains that the two are best friends and do everything together, and Mira decides to adopt both so they can stay together.

At home, Mira builds the rabbits a special place in a quiet corner of the garden, lining a wooden box with soft hay and adding hidey-holes, a tunnel, and a cozy nook. Pip explores right away, while Clover prefers the cozy corners. Mira notices how the rabbits rely on each other, and this gentle tale by Çınar BİBER explores friendship, empathy, and responsible pet care. Read The Girl and the Rabbit on Masalcı Baba.
