Amara is devoted to African wild dogs. She collects books about them, watches clips showing their mottled coats and large rounded ears, and always carries a sketchbook in her canvas satchel so she can draw whenever inspiration strikes. One bright afternoon she settles at her desk, coloured pencils arranged around her, and decides to create a comic about a painted dog pack.
In her panels, the pack lives on a broad grassy savanna where each dog has a role. Kesi, the leader with a woven collar and a small blue bead, plans the hunt and gives out tasks. Tano races ahead on long legs, and Zuri stays with the pups. When one of them tires, the others step in and share the work so nobody is left behind. Written by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK, this gentle tale about animals, drawing and teamwork can be read on Onlinemasal Com.Tr.
