Every summer morning, Lila runs down the sandy path to the sea in her yellow polka-dot swimsuit, her curly black hair in two puffy buns. The water feels like a friendly hug, and she loves floating on her back and counting silver fish. One bright morning she dives deeper than usual and finds something impossible: a pony standing on the sandy bottom, with a seafoam-green coat and a turquoise mane drifting like seaweed.
The pony is Pebble, who wears a braided strand of pink coral and lives in the ocean. The two become friends at once, and Pebble leads Lila to a hidden underwater meadow of waving seagrass, bright flowers and swaying seahorses, where they play hide-and-seek among the coral and race across the meadow. This gentle tale by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK follows a curious child and a kind sea pony as they talk about land and sea and learn what keeps a friendship alive. It can be read on Onlinemasal Com.Tr.
