Lily lives in a small cottage beside a whispering wood, where she spends her days drawing and dreaming. At night, though, she feels tiny and alone. Her Grandpa Oak tucks her in and tells her that the moon holds many secrets, and so does the valley past the hill. One sleepless night, Lily pulls on her red rain boots and yellow cardigan and slips outside, following a silver shimmer into the trees.
There she meets Moonbeam, a glowing pony with a crescent moon on her forehead and little wings on her back. Moonbeam speaks and asks for Lily's help: the forgotten wishes in the valley have stopped blooming, and only a true friend can save them. Lily climbs onto the pony's warm back, and together they cross the Stream of Stars toward the fading flowers.
