On a bright Saturday, Maya heads to Sunny Hill Farm to visit the animals she adores. Farmer Joe has a surprise waiting: a rescued goose that came from a hard place and is still learning to trust. At first the plump white bird with grey-brown wing tips and amber eyes seems calm, but whenever visitors come too close it honks and flaps, and everyone quickly decides it must be a mean goose. Maya is not convinced and chooses to watch closely instead.
Sitting quietly by the pen, she begins to notice a pattern in when the goose reacts. The tale by Çınar BİBER follows her patient effort to show the other visitors, including a boy in a red cap, that the bird is frightened rather than fierce and simply needs room. This gentle story about reading animal behavior can be read on Masalcı Baba, and it invites children, parents and teachers to look past a first impression.
