Maya is a curious child who loves to examine the world closely. Wearing her magnifying glass necklace and bright yellow gecko shirt, she explores every corner of her garden. One sunny morning, she notices something remarkable on the garden wall: a little pale green gecko climbing straight up the smooth surface. Maya becomes determined to understand how the tiny creature grips the wall without slipping.
She visits her neighbor Professor Lee, a scientist with a kind smile and a gecko-shaped brooch, who explains that gecko toes are covered in hairs too small to see. These hairs grip surfaces through tiny forces, allowing geckos to climb almost anything, even smooth glass. Eager to share this discovery, Maya builds a demonstration with Professor Lee's help and her best friend Sam holding the board steady, using special tape that mimics gecko hairs and a small toy gecko that sticks to glass, metal and plastic.
