Lily is a curious girl with warm light brown skin and shoulder-length wavy black hair tied with a blue ribbon, living in a small house at the edge of town. One warm night she wakes to a soft silvery glow beyond her window and follows it down a winding path to an old vine-covered gate. Behind it lies a secret garden where flowers of every shape and color glow in the moonlight, a tiny fountain bubbles at the center, and the air smells of honey and rain.

There she meets a plump silver-grey owl in tiny round spectacles, a woven vine collar, and a single glowing moonflower. The owl explains that the flowers only bloom at midnight but need water to open, and his old wings are too tired to reach them all. Lily takes a small watering can from her satchel and, together, they move from plant to plant. When she sees pale, closed flowers that have gone unwatered for many nights, she promises to return every evening to help. This gentle tale by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK can be read on Onlinemasal Com.Tr.
