The Girl and the Brave Alpaca

Maya heads down the dusty lane to Gran's farm expecting the familiar morning sounds, but a shaky hum from the barn leads her to Pepper, a small fluffy alpaca with cream-white fleece, caramel patches and a blue ribbon. Gran explains that Pepper is new and easily startled, and that he needs a gentle friend. Maya decides she can be exactly that.

What follows is a quiet, patient friendship built on small steps: sitting still on the hay, showing Pepper that rustling straw, a clucking hen and dripping water are not frightening, and playing soft music on a small radio. When a loose shutter bangs on a windy day, Pepper looks at Maya and stands beside her. Written by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK, this gentle tale about fear, kindness and steady companionship can be read on Onlinemasal Com.Tr, and it suits young readers as well as adults reading aloud with them.
