In the heart of the great green forest, a little fox named Finn is easy to recognize by his russet-orange fur, cream chest and snowy-tipped tail. One evening, as the sky fades into pink and purple, he discovers a small golden lantern glowing beside a fallen log. Lifting it high, he sees silvery secret trails winding through the trees, paths he has never noticed before, and his curiosity draws him to follow one.
The trail leads Finn to a tall oak and to Oaken, a large round owl with golden eyes who serves as the forest elder. Oaken explains what the lantern reveals and what is asked of whoever carries it: guiding lost travelers safely home. Thinking of how frightening it would be to be lost in the dark, Finn accepts the task. That same night he meets Pip, a little field mouse in a red knitted scarf who cannot find her burrow. This gentle tale by Çınar BİBER can be read on Masalcı Baba and suits children who enjoy warm animal stories.
