The Elephant's Tiny Library

Ella the elephant loves books and dreams of sharing her stories with the small animals of the forest. One sunny morning, she builds a library in a cozy hollow tree, stacking books high and low with her strong trunk. Her shelves are tall and wide, perfect for an elephant, and she trumpets with pride that now everyone can enjoy stories.

But when Pip the mouse and Rosie the rabbit arrive, the shelves tower above them like giant cliffs. The lowest book is far out of reach, and Ella's attempts to help only make her feel clumsy and worried. It is Milo the meerkat, small and quick with a ruler and pencil in his tool belt, who suggests measuring each animal and building shelves at different heights. Together they gather twigs and vines, and Ella lifts and places while Milo measures and checks. This gentle tale by Çınar BİBER, which can be read on Masalcı Baba, follows their collaboration as they create a welcoming place for all.
