On a bright savanna dotted with wide acacia trees, a large round elephant named Eldon lives alongside his closest friend Milo, a tiny meerkat who wears a little blue cap. Eldon enjoys crafting things using his trunk and his careful feet, and on a windy morning he decides to make a surprise for Milo: a kite built from sticks, string and vivid blue paper. He spends the whole day on it, and the kite keeps growing until it is as large as a small boat.
Milo is thrilled when he sees it, yet the kite will not move when he tries to lift it, since it is far too big and heavy for him. Instead of quitting, the two friends work side by side, trimming the paper, folding the sides, swapping the heavy frame for slender twigs and adding a long tail for balance until the kite suits Milo. This gentle story by Çınar BİBER traces their patient teamwork, and it can be read on Masalcı Baba.
