Leo steps off a bus into a warm, wet rainforest wearing his bright yellow t-shirt and red sneakers, with a small magnifying glass around his neck. Walking the leafy path and listening to birds and insects, he notices a tiny lime-green tree frog resting on a shiny leaf. Instead of disturbing it, he kneels close, whispers a greeting and studies its golden eyes, pale yellow belly, white side stripe and orange toes through his magnifying glass. The quiet moment leaves him wondering what a perfect home would look like for such a small creature.
At home, Leo builds a miniature rainforest from a cardboard box, branches, fresh leaves, moss, stones and a shallow dish for a pond, then gently places the frog inside and watches it hop and dip its toes. Noticing where it seems happiest, he works out what a frog needs and how birds, insects and plants share the same clean forest. This tale by Çınar BİBER is a gentle introduction to rainforest habitats and everyday conservation, and it can be read on Masalcı Baba.
