In this gentle story by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK, eight-year-old Toby explores his grandpa's dusty attic on a rainy afternoon and discovers a glass aquarium glowing with soft blue light. Inside swims a whale no longer than his thumb, with deep blue skin, silver spots and big dark eyes that look terribly sad. All night the little creature circles slowly and sings a lonely song, and Toby promises to care for it. Yet the whale will not eat, and its tiny fins droop as if it longs for something vast and far away.

When a shimmering portal of turquoise and gold light opens in the middle of the aquarium, Toby understands what he must do. He scoops the whale into his hands, steps through the light, and reaches a beach of sparkling silver sand beside a glowing ocean where tiny stars dance on the water. There he meets other whales like his own and gives his small friend the name Lumi. The tale can be read on Onlinemasal Com.Tr, and it quietly explores home, belonging and friendship across any distance.
