Leo is a curious boy with messy chestnut-brown hair and a gap-toothed smile, always ready to explore in his bright yellow raincoat and green rubber boots. One day he packs his red backpack and heads into the forest near his home, only to discover that the woods look grey and dull, as though every color has been drained away. Deeper among the trees he meets a small fox the size of a house cat, its fur striped in red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet, with a fluffy white chest and bright amber eyes. A tiny woven grass bracelet on one of its front legs suggests someone once cared for it, and a warm friendship begins to grow.
The fox leads Leo to an old owl wearing a crown of dried leaves, who explains that the colors are fading because the forest creatures have forgotten how to celebrate their differences. Only by sharing what makes each of them special can the colors return. Leo and the fox set out to help, encouraging a tiny seedling named Little Sprout to grow, singing a silly song that coaxes wilted flowers into bloom, and calling back the songs and bright feathers of a group of silent grey birds. This gentle tale by Ebru Mina TOMURCUK explores friendship and courage, and can be read on Onlinemasal Com.Tr.
